Overview
Tribhuvan University (TU) was established in 1959. It is one the prestigious national higher education in Nepal located at Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. It is a non-profit organization funded by the Government of Nepal. On January 8, 2013, the government of Nepal has principally agreed to declare Tribhuvan University as the Central University.
40After the second democratic movement of 2006, the Prime Minister of Nepal is the ceremonial chief, the Chancellor of the University, whereas the Minister of Education is the Pro-Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the university. Academic programmes are headed by the Rector the financial management and general administration are regulated by Registrar under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor.
TU offers 5 institutes and 4 faculties under different faculties with 40 central departments, 62 constituent campuses, and 1062 affiliated colleges. With being one of the largest universities in the world in terms of its size and the diversity of programs offered, there are number of students learning this course.

Bachelor of Social Work
Bachelor of Social Work( BSW) is a 4 year Undergraduate Level Program offered by Tribhuvan University under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (TU). This program offers 8 paper throughout 4 Year. Social workers are trained to meet the current needs of the country as well as the rest of the world. Salient Features
Duration of the Course and Examinations under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Work
The duration of the course is 4 academic years with 8 semesters. There will be a final examination every semester so, the regularity of the students will be important and primary criteria to be eligible to appear in the internal as well as in a final examination.
Eligibility
- Students seeking admission in Bachelor of Social Work must have secured at least D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12. OR
- passed + 2 or Intermediate or PCL from TU or from any other institution recognized by TU with a minimum of 45% marks.
Fee Structure
The fee structure for the total course is (NPs.) 5 to 6 Lakh.
